“Cheesecake” by TEO

В продолжение темы использования современных  популярных англоязычных песен на уроках английского языка в школе предлагаю очередную песню и задания к ней. На этот раз это англоязычная песня “Cheesecake” представителя нашей страны на конкурсе “Евровидение-2014″  популярного белорусского исполнителя ТЕО. Над этой песней можно поработать в 8 классе в рамках темы “Еда и национальная кухня” (Unit 3).

Before Listening

Поделите детей на небольшие 2-3 группы и предложите из букв составить название блюда, которое является также названием песни, над которой им предстоит поработать на уроке. Для этого заранее подготовьте 2-3 конверта с карточками, на которых написаны буквы, их которых можно составить название песни.

После того, как учащиеся составят правильное название блюда и песни, спросите у них:

1) Do you know this song? Who’s the singer?

2) What do you know about TEO? What is his real name? What is he famous for?

Yuriy Vashchuk (Юрий Ващук,  born 24 January 1983), better known by his stage name Teo, is a Belarusian songwriter and singer. Born in 1983, as Yuriy Vashchuk, Teo showed passion for music early in his childhood. He won his first music competition as the winner of the international contest “Scilla”, and won his first major competition as the winner of the television program “Zornaya Rostan”. Teo won the Belarusian national song contest and represented his country at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Cheesecake“. He ultimately finished 16th, received a total of 47 points. (Wikipedia)
